New Democratic Front (NDF) Badulla District MP Chamara Sampath Dassanayake has been arrested by the Bribery Commission over an alleged irregularity during his tenure as the Chief Minister of Uva Province.
The MP was earlier questioned by Bribery Commission officials regarding the matter. According to the Commission, he will be produced before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court.
