NHDA Chairman Resigns After Three Months in Office

N.B.M. Ranatunga, Chairman of the National Housing Development Authority (NHDA), has resigned from his position, his office confirmed.

His resignation letter has been submitted to the Minister in charge, and sources indicate he provided a detailed explanation for his decision. Ranatunga was appointed on October 10, 2024, serving only three months before stepping down.

This marks the latest in a series of high-profile resignations in recent weeks. On January 29, Ramal Siriwardena resigned as Chairman of the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB), while on December 24, Dr. Senesh Bandara stepped down as Chairman of the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC).
