Deputy Minister of Education Dr. Madhura Seneviratne has confirmed that there are currently no plans to postpone or reschedule upcoming examinations.
He said that following high-level discussions, the Ministry concluded that the loss of approximately four school days ahead of the holidays will not significantly affect syllabus coverage.
The Deputy Minister noted that while the education sector is adjusting to national energy-saving measures, the situation does not require any changes to the examination timetable.
He added that although the Ministry remains flexible in response to changing conditions, all scheduled exams will proceed as planned for now.
