No Special Queues or Tickets for Elite During Sacred Tooth Relic Exposition, Says Deputy Chief Prelate

There will be no special queues or tickets for elite individuals during the exposition of the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha, which is open to the public, according to Deputy Chief Prelate of the Asgiri Chapter and Deputy Secretary, Venerable Narampanawa Ananda Thera.

Speaking at a special media briefing held at the Government Information Department on April 10, the Thera stated that all visitors must use the regular queues.

Facilities will only be extended to the Maha Sangha, foreign ambassadors, special guests, and persons with special needs. Unlike previous years, no special tickets will be issued.

A dedicated gate has been reserved for the Maha Sangha, who are requested to arrive at the Dalada Maligawa premises before 10 a.m. They may participate in the Dalada Pandana after offering alms in the afternoon.

This sacred exposition, held for the first time in 16 years, is being conducted under the guidance of the Venerable Theros of the Malwathu and Asgiri Ubhaya Viharayas, following an invitation by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
