Over 116,000 Tourists Visit Sri Lanka in June; India Remains Top Source Market

A total of 116,469 tourists visited Sri Lanka in June 2025, according to the latest data released by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).

India continued to lead as the top source market, contributing 32,977 arrivals, which accounts for 28.3% of the total for the month. The United Kingdom followed with 9,429 visitors, while China recorded 7,326 arrivals. Additionally, 5,739 tourists arrived from Bangladesh, and 5,736 from Australia.

With the inclusion of June figures, the total number of tourist arrivals for 2025 has risen to 1,146,272.

Of this cumulative figure, 237,037 arrivals were from India, followed by 112,118 from Russia and 105,703 from the United Kingdom, the SLTDA reported.
