The Ministry of Industry and Enterprise Development has reported that the Industry Disaster Support Center (IDSC) has received data on 13,698 businesses affected by the recent adverse weather conditions across Sri Lanka.
According to the Ministry, the affected businesses reported to the Disaster Support Centre are categorised as follows:

Micro-scale businesses: 5,639

Small-scale businesses: 4,636
-
Medium-scale businesses: 2,986
-
Large-scale businesses: 437
To facilitate the reporting process, the Ministry has introduced a dedicated hotline, 071 266 6660, and urged industrialists to submit details of damages to their businesses as soon as possible.
All relevant information must be submitted before 2:00 p.m. on 16 December 2025, the Ministry said. Affected parties may also submit details online via the Ministry’s official website, www.industry.gov.lk.
In addition, the Ministry noted that assistance for submitting information is available through Ministry of Industry and Enterprise Development officials stationed at the respective Divisional Secretariat and District Secretariat Offices.
