Today (24), parliament will commence a three-day adjournment debate on the 2019 Easter Sunday terror attacks, as per a motion presented by the Opposition. This decision was reached during a meeting of the Parliamentary Business Committee earlier this month.
The parliamentary proceedings will begin with the debate on the Code of Criminal Procedure (Amendment) Bill (Second Reading) and Regulations under the Poisons, Opium, and Dangerous Drugs Ordinance from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Following this, the adjournment debate on the Easter Sunday attacks is scheduled to take place from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
On Thursday (25), discussions will continue with the consideration of two Regulations under the Motor Traffic Act, Notifications under the Excise Ordinance, an Order under the Excise (Special Provisions) Act, and Regulations under the Immigrants and Emigrants Act from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Subsequently, the adjournment debate on the Easter Sunday attacks will resume from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Friday (26) will see the continuation of the adjournment debate on the Easter Sunday attacks from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., concluding the three-day discussion on this critical issue.
