Steps have been taken to restructure the administrative framework of Parliament, under the directives of Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne.
According to the Speaker’s Media Division, a committee comprising four former Ministry Secretaries has been appointed to lead the restructuring process.
The initiative seeks to resolve long-standing concerns of Parliamentary staff, including delays in promotions, as well as issues related to salaries and other benefits.
The Media Division added that the committee’s final report is expected to be submitted to the Speaker in the coming days.
