Police Digitize One Million Criminal Fingerprints

The Police have announced that approximately one million criminal fingerprints have been digitized as part of an ongoing initiative.

According to the Police Criminal Record Division (CRD), the fingerprints of individuals convicted in court have been entered into the digital database. The digitization process, which began in 2013, has played a key role in bringing many criminals to justice.

In addition, the CRD has introduced a technological system for identifying criminals through facial recognition, further enhancing law enforcement capabilities.
