Sri Lanka Police have introduced a new QR code-enabled digital platform, the “Sri Lanka Police Community Feedback Portal,” allowing the public to submit feedback, complaints, compliments, and suggestions regarding services provided at police stations across the country.
According to Police Headquarters, the online system has been developed to enhance the quality, transparency, and efficiency of police services through a more people-centred and data-driven approach.
Under the new initiative, members of the public can scan a QR code displayed at police stations and access an online portal to submit their observations and experiences. Users can choose from categories such as comments, complaints, compliments, or suggestions and provide relevant details, including the purpose of their visit and any additional information they wish to share.
The portal is also accessible through the official Sri Lanka Police website under the E-Services section, enabling citizens to submit feedback electronically from any location.
Meanwhile, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) has instructed all senior officers and Officers-in-Charge (OICs) to install QR code boards titled “Sri Lanka Police Community Feedback Portal” at every police station, including reception counters and prosecution units.
Police officials have also been directed to actively inform the public about the facility and ensure its effective implementation at station level.
According to Sri Lanka Police, the initiative is intended to strengthen transparency, accountability, and public trust by systematically incorporating citizen feedback into service evaluation and performance improvement processes.
Authorities believe the new platform will provide the public with a convenient and accessible channel to communicate their experiences while helping the Police Department identify areas requiring improvement and enhance overall service delivery.
