Police have warned that the large number of relief teams and vehicles arriving at disaster-affected areas is hindering ongoing recovery and repair work.
Assistant Superintendent of Police F. U. Wutler, Police Media Spokesperson, expressed sincere gratitude for the relief efforts but noted that heavy traffic at road repair sites in some districts is slowing operations. He also highlighted that some motorcyclists visiting the disaster-hit areas to observe or record videos have further obstructed officials performing their duties.
“This situation poses a danger to both the public and those working on relief efforts,” the spokesperson said, urging relief teams to coordinate directly with the Officers-in-Charge (OICs) of the respective divisions to ensure effective delivery of aid.
