Government Printer Pradeep Pushpakumara has announced that the printing of 700,000 postal voting ballot papers for the upcoming Local Government Elections is on track to be completed by April 5.
The National Election Commission (NEC) confirmed that the printed ballots will be dispatched to post offices nationwide by April 7. NEC Chairman R.M.A.L. Ratnayake stated that the distribution will be coordinated through all district secretariats.
Key Dates for Postal Voting & Ballot Distribution
- Postal Voting Period: April 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29
- Completion of All Ballot Printing: April 28
- Official Ballot Distribution: April 16 – 29
The Government Printer assured that all necessary preparations are in place to ensure a smooth and timely election process.
