President Anura Kumara Dissanayake Embarks on Official Visit to UAE for World Government Summit 2025

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is set to embark on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) today (February 10), at the invitation of UAE President Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The visit, scheduled from February 10 to 13, 2025, will see President Dissanayake participate in the World Government Summit 2025 in Dubai.

According to Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism, the President will deliver an address at the summit and hold bilateral discussions with President Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on a range of areas of mutual interest. He is also scheduled to meet UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

In addition to his engagements with UAE leaders, President Dissanayake will hold discussions with Heads of State and Governments from several countries attending the summit. He is also set to engage with CEOs of leading global companies across sectors such as IT, Artificial Intelligence, Energy, Tourism, Finance, and Media to attract investments to Sri Lanka.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the visit will further strengthen bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and the UAE, enhancing cooperation in key sectors and fostering economic opportunities.
