President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, attending the annual Esala Perahera at the historic Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy, today met with the Mahanayake Theros of the Malwatte and Asgiri Chapters and received their blessings.
The President first visited the Malwatte Maha Viharaya, where he met the Most Venerable Thibbatuwawe Sri Sumangala Na Thero, Mahanayake of Malwatte, and engaged in a brief conversation following the blessing.
He then proceeded to the Asgiri Maha Viharaya and met the Most Venerable Warakagoda Sri Gnanarathana Na Thero, Mahanayake of the Asgiri Chapter, with whom he also had a brief discussion.
