President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has stressed that public funds must be utilised responsibly and efficiently to ensure the successful implementation of development projects.
The President made the remarks yesterday while reviewing the progress of development initiatives under the 2026 Budget, including the Galle District Development Plan.
The discussion was held at the Galle District Secretariat and focused on the implementation of projects funded through the 2026 budget allocations.
During the meeting, President Dissanayake also sought updates on housing projects that have been left incomplete and instructed officials to review their progress.
