Indian actors Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor have arrived in Sri Lanka to begin shooting their upcoming film Peddie, the makers have confirmed.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film commenced shooting this week and will feature several picturesque locations across the island.
According to sources close to the production, the Sri Lankan schedule will include a major song sequence featuring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor.
The film’s music is composed by A.R. Rahman, and the shoot in Sri Lanka follows a large-scale dance sequence recently filmed in India, which involved more than a thousand background performers.
Peddie, marking Ram Charan’s much-anticipated comeback after RRR, is being produced in collaboration with Maithri Films. Janhvi Kapoor takes on her second lead role in Telugu cinema following Devara.
The film is slated for a worldwide release on March 27, 2026, and will be distributed as an Indian production in multiple languages.
