Former UNP Deputy Leader, MP Ravi Karunanayake, says that the United National Party (UNP) and the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) should urgently come together to work towards a common goal.
Speaking to the media, he said that such cooperation would help rebuild confidence among party members and strengthen both parties.
MP Karunanayake further noted that he is committed to fostering unity and cohesion within the UNP.
He also emphasized that the UNP is the party that brought freedom to the nation under former Prime Minister D.S. Senanayake, introduced the open economy under former President J.R. Jayewardene, and played a pivotal role in developing the country’s economy.
