The United National Party (UNP)-led joint opposition conference was held with the aim of bringing everyone together, said former UNP Deputy Leader and MP Ravi Karunanayake.
Speaking to the media, the MP emphasized that protecting democracy is one of the primary objectives of the initiative. He noted that the UNP is committed to this belief, stressing that the spirit of democracy exists within everyone and should not remain confined to words alone.
He further stated that what is required now is to act in good faith and with unity. The MP also underscored the importance of collective discussion on how to move forward together along this path.
