Former UNP Deputy Minister Ravi Karunanayake says he hopes the government will deliver on the promises made to the public through the second budget presented today.
He made these remarks while responding to questions from journalists upon his arrival at Parliament to attend the President’s budget speech.
Karunanayake noted that the current government, which came to power pledging to build a “new country,” has yet to fulfill that commitment.
He added that the public now expects the government to keep its promises through this latest budget.
