The National Council for Road Safety says it expects to implement updated road speed limits before March 31.
Its Chairman, Manjula Kularatne, said the process is currently in its final stages.
He noted that the revisions will be carried out through a systematic approach that clearly identifies roads where speed limits need to be reduced or increased, while ensuring the necessary provisions are in place.
