Samagi Jana Balawegaya’s (SJB) presidential candidate, Sajith Premadasa, has announced plans to launch a comprehensive recovery program for the country’s economy with the assistance of foreign aid following his anticipated victory in the upcoming presidential election.
Speaking at a public rally in Bandaragama, Premadasa emphasized that true development is centered on the welfare and progress of the people.
“For us, development means the betterment of the 22 million people in this country, not just statistical figures,” Premadasa stated.
He also criticized the current government for prioritizing personal gains while ignoring the struggles of the citizens.
“As the election approaches, they make misleading promises, attempting to deceive the populace. However, it is not easy to fool the people at this moment,” he added.
Premadasa urged the public to support his vision of creating a new era of development for all, pledging to resolve the country’s issues with the help of foreign aid.
