The National Water Supply and Drainage Board has introduced a scheduled water supply system for several areas in the Colombo District, effective from today until April 10.
The measure has been implemented to reduce inconvenience to consumers amid prevailing dry weather conditions and to prevent prolonged daily disruptions.
According to the Board, areas including Battaramulla, Pamankada, Wellawatta, and Nawala will experience a three-hour water cut daily from 10.00 p.m. to 1.00 a.m., with one exception day.
Meanwhile, residents in Padukka, Homagama, Pelanwatta, and Pannipitiya will face a 24-hour water cut beginning at 8.00 p.m., followed by three consecutive days of uninterrupted water supply.
The Board stated that the scheduled water cuts for these areas will begin from tonight.
