Several senior officers of the Sri Lanka Police have been transferred and appointed to new roles with immediate effect, according to an announcement by the Police Media Division.
These transfers and appointments have been approved by the National Police Commission (NPC), the statement confirmed.
The officers and their new assignments are as follows:

Senior Superintendent of Police C. Gunaratne

Transferred from Director of the Police Cadet Division to Director of the Sri Lanka Police College.

Will continue to cover duties as Director of the Police Cadet Division.

Transferred from Officer-in-Charge of the Mount Lavinia Division to Officer-in-Charge of the Kebithigollewa Division.

Transferred from Director of the Bureau for the Investigation of Abuse of Children and Women to Officer-in-Charge of the Mount Lavinia Division.

Transferred from Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to Director of the Bureau for the Investigation of Abuse of Children and Women.

Transferred from Director of the Gampola Division to Director of the Central Criminal Investigation Bureau (CCIB).

The Police Media Division stated that all transfers were made as part of routine administrative restructuring to ensure the effective functioning of the police service.
