The Department of Meteorology says that several spells of showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, and North-Western provinces.
A few showers may also occur in the Northern Province and the Anuradhapura District.
Meanwhile, strong winds ranging from 50 to 60 kmph can be expected at times over the western slopes of the central hills and in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, Northern, North-Central, and North-Western provinces, as well as in the Trincomalee and Batticaloa districts.
The public is advised to take adequate precautions to minimize potential damage caused by strong winds.
