Several spells of showers are forecast in parts of Sri Lanka, particularly in the Northern, North-Central, Eastern and Uva provinces, as well as in the Nuwara Eliya and Matale districts.
Showers or thundershowers are also likely at a few places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 p.m.
Misty conditions can be expected at some locations in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces, along with the Galle, Matara and Badulla districts during the early morning hours.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimise possible damage caused by temporary localised strong winds and lightning associated with thundershowers.
