Intermittent showers are expected today in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the districts of Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara. The North-Western Province may also experience a few showers.
Meanwhile, mainly fair weather conditions are likely to prevail across the rest of the island.
The Department of Meteorology further cautions that strong winds, ranging between 40–50 kmph, could occur at times over the western slopes of the central hills and in the Northern, North-Central, North-Western, and Southern provinces, as well as in the Trincomalee district.
