A special session of Parliament will be held tomorrow from 9:30 a.m., following a request by the Prime Minister under Standing Order 16.
The session will focus on the presentation of the fiscal strategy statement, as mandated by Section 11 of the Public Finance Management Act No. 44 of 2024, which requires the government to present the statement by June 30 each year.
An adjournment debate on the fiscal strategy, initiated by the government, will take place during the session and is expected to continue until 4:30 p.m.
Parliament will then reconvene on July 8, 9, and 11.
