A Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) training aircraft has crashed in the Wariyapola area, according to SLAF Spokesman.
The aircraft, identified as a Chinese-manufactured K-8 jet, was on a training mission when it lost radar contact and later crashed in Minuwangete, Wariyapola.
Both pilots ejected safely and landed by parachute without injuries, while the jet caught fire upon impact. No casualties have been reported following the incident.
