Worker remittances to Sri Lanka experienced substantial growth in September 2024, with inflows reaching US$ 555.6 million, up from US$ 482.4 million in September 2023, according to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL).
The report also noted an 11.5% year-to-date increase, with total remittances from January to September 2024 amounting to US$ 4,843.8 million compared to the same period in 2023.
