A total of 50,222 tourists have visited Sri Lanka so far in December, according to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA). Of these, 10,453 tourists (21%) are from India, followed by 5,420 from Russia, 4,822 from Germany, 3,823 from the UK, and 2,627 from France.
With December arrivals included, the total number of tourists in 2025 has reached 2,153,815. India remains the top source country with 485,249 visitors, followed by the UK (195,565), Russia (164,013), Germany (136,081), China (124,298), and France (103,307), the SLTDA reported.
