SriLankan Airlines has temporarily suspended its flights to Kuwait for one week due to the ongoing military conflict in the Middle East, according to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
CAA Director General Daminda Rambukwella said the suspension came into effect yesterday afternoon following a security assessment of Kuwait’s airspace.
He explained that the decision was taken after carefully evaluating the safety risks associated with operating flights in the region.
Rambukwella further stated that the situation in Bahrain is also being closely monitored as regional tensions continue, with aviation authorities assessing developments to ensure the safety of passengers and flight operations.
