District 82 of Toastmasters International has officially commenced its 2026–2027 term, introducing a newly elected District Executive Committee to guide its community of public speakers and leaders.
Stepping into the role of District Director is Bhathiya Hettiarachchi, DTM. He will lead the region alongside Program Quality Director Piyakara Jayarathne, DTM, and Club Growth Director Hingston Lovell. Together, this executive trio is tasked with driving the district’s educational and organizational objectives over the next twelve months.
The new administration takes office under an inspiring guiding message for the year: “Empowering Voices & Enriching Lives.”
According to the committee, the strategic roadmap for the 2026–2027 term will focus heavily on four vital operational pillars:
