Twelve Sri Lankan Players Shortlisted for IPL 2025 Auction

Twelve Sri Lankan cricketers have been shortlisted for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 auction, which will take place at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on 16 December, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced. The auction will begin at 1 p.m. local time and will be telecast on Star Sports with live streaming on JioHotstar.

Top base price bracket (INR 2 crore) players include Wanindu Hasaranga, Matheesha Pathirana, and Mahesh Theekshana. Experienced internationals Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, and former captain Dasun Shanaka are also part of the auction. Other shortlisted players include Charith Asalanka, Dunith Wellalage, Viyaskanth Wijayakantha, Kusal Perera, Traveen Mathew, and left-arm pacer Binura Fernando.
