Sri Lanka’s Cabinet Spokesperson and Minister, Nalinda Jayatissa, stated that the visa validity period for foreign nationals stranded in the country due to flight restrictions linked to the Middle East conflict will be extended by two weeks.
The announcement was made during a press briefing held at the Department of Government Information Sri Lanka.
Minister Jayatissa further emphasized that no fees will be charged for the visa extension, providing relief to affected visitors facing unexpected travel disruptions.
The measure is intended to ensure that foreign nationals remain legally in the country while awaiting the resumption of normal flight operations.
