Uncleared Goods at Colombo Port Cause Space Shortages, Deputy Minister Reveals

Deputy Minister of Ports and Civil Aviation, Ruwan Kodituwakku, has highlighted the issue of a large quantity of uncleared goods accumulating at the Colombo Port, resulting in a significant loss of space.

Speaking today, the Deputy Minister explained that the accumulation is due to various factors, including unpaid duties and missing documentation required for clearance.

In response to the issue, Deputy Minister Kodituwakku stated that he has requested detailed reports from Sri Lanka Customs and the Ports Authority to address the situation and identify solutions to expedite the clearance of goods.
