Former Deputy Leader of the United National Party (UNP), MP Ravi Karunanayake, stated that the UNP and the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) are not two separate parties but essentially one.
Speaking to the media, he emphasized that reunification should be achieved through mutual respect, not through conditions or pressure.
He noted that despite differing political views, it is important for all members to reach a common understanding at this critical time.
The MP highlighted that his work within the UNP is guided by this objective, expressing strong confidence that everyone has the ability to move forward together.
