Negotiations between the United National Party (UNP) and the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) over a possible alliance for the upcoming elections have hit a roadblock due to internal conflicts within the SJB.
Despite multiple rounds of discussions, the talks have reportedly stalled. However, the UNP has confirmed that it remains open to further negotiations.
Meanwhile, SJB National Organizer Tissa Attanayake recently announced his withdrawal from the talks, attributing his decision to internal challenges within his party.
