The USS Spruance, an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer of the United States Navy, arrived at the port of Colombo today for a scheduled replenishment visit.
The Sri Lanka Navy warmly welcomed the vessel and its crew upon their arrival.
Named after Admiral Raymond A. Spruance, the USS Spruance is a formidable warship, measuring 160 meters in length and equipped with advanced weaponry and state-of-the-art technology, making it a key asset in the U.S. Navy’s fleet. The ship is manned by a crew of 338 personnel, all under the command of Commander Thomas Adams.
During its stay in Colombo, the USS Spruance will undergo essential replenishment operations. The vessel is scheduled to depart Colombo on August 20, 2024, after completing its replenishment activities.
