Anura Kumara Dissanayake says the Government of Vietnam has donated 100 metric tons of urea and superphosphate fertiliser to Sri Lanka.
The President made the announcement while addressing a joint press conference held following the exchange of several Memoranda of Understanding between the two countries during the official visit of Tô Lâm.
President Dissanayake further stated that the Vietnamese Government had responded positively to Sri Lanka’s request to procure fertiliser from Vietnam.
The fertiliser assistance comes amid ongoing efforts by Sri Lanka to strengthen agricultural productivity and maintain stable fertiliser supplies for the farming sector.
