Measures are underway to fully restore water supply within the next three days to districts affected by the adverse weather conditions, according to Engineer A. M. P. C. T. Bandara, Chairman of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB).
He stated that, following directives from President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, assistance has been mobilized from the tri-forces, the Department of Irrigation, the Road Development Authority, and the Ceylon Electricity Board to expedite the delivery of water to impacted communities.
Chairman Bandara made these remarks while addressing the media today (30) in Colombo.
