Several spells of showers are expected in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Nuwara-Eliya districts.
Showers or thundershowers may occur in several areas of the Northern, Eastern, and Uva provinces after 1.00 p.m.
Fairly heavy rainfall of around 50 mm is likely in some locations.
The public is kindly advised to take necessary precautions to minimize the risk of damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
