The Department of Meteorology forecasts showers or thundershowers at times in Uva Province and the districts of Batticaloa, Ampara, Matale, Nuwara Eliya, and Hambantota.
Several spells of showers are expected in the Northern and North-Central Provinces and Trincomalee District.
Additionally, showers or thundershowers will occur in the Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces and the districts of Galle, Matara, and Kandy during the evening or night.
Misty conditions are also likely in parts of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, and Southern Provinces in the morning.
The general public is advised to take precautions against localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
