Former Deputy Leader of the United National Party and Parliamentarian Ravi Karunanayake raised concerns over financial irregularities and waste in state institutions.
Speaking at a media briefing, he said that bonuses paid to officials of loss-making entities, such as Sri Lankan Airlines, should be stopped immediately.
Ravi Karunanayake emphasized that it is the government’s responsibility to redirect such funds toward the welfare of ordinary citizens, who are currently facing significant hardships.
