Woman Arrested in Kotahena for Concealing Narcotics Inside Child’s Doll

A 29-year-old woman from Kotahena has been arrested in Seeduwa on suspicion of trafficking narcotics concealed inside a toy belonging to her eight-year-old child. The arrest was made during a special joint raid conducted by the police, Special Task Force (STF), and tri-forces in the Rajapakshapura area of Seeduwa.

Authorities observed the suspect carrying a toy in a suspicious manner while staying with her child in a room at the location. Upon inspection, officers discovered quantities of crystal methamphetamine (commonly known as ‘ice’), heroin, Kerala cannabis, and a digital scale hidden inside a doll.

Further investigation led to the recovery of additional packets of crystal meth concealed on the woman’s person.

Preliminary findings suggest that the woman had transported the drugs from Kotahena to Seeduwa hidden in the child’s toy. It is believed that the Seeduwa location was being used as a temporary safehouse to repackage the narcotics before redistributing them in the Kotahena area.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the trafficking network and any additional accomplices.
