Dr. G. Wijesuriya, Deputy Director General of Health Services, emphasizes the importance of increased fluid intake to prevent dehydration during this hot weather.
He particularly urges school children and the elderly to stay out of direct sunlight to protect their health.
Dr. Wijesuriya also advises individuals engaging in outdoor activities to take regular breaks and ensure they are consuming adequate amounts of fluids throughout the day.
