The deadline for submitting applications to cast postal votes in the 2025 Local Government (LG) Elections will close at 12:00 midnight today (12), the Election Commission announced.
Previously, the Commission had instructed that duly completed applications be submitted to District Returning Officers via the District Election Office address on or before August 5.
The Commission emphasized that applications must physically reach the respective District Election Offices before the midnight deadline. Simply posting the application today will not guarantee acceptance.
Applications received after the deadline will be automatically rejected without consideration, the Commission confirmed.
