The Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security has handed over the report of the Presidential Commission probing the Easter Sunday bomb attacks to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further investigations, following instructions from President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Public Security Minister Ananda Wijepala announced.
Meanwhile, speaking at a public meeting in Deiyandara on March 30, President Dissanayake stated that investigations into the Easter Sunday terror attacks are progressing rapidly, and that several individuals responsible would be exposed before Easter Sunday this year.
“Investigations into the Easter attacks are being carried out systematically. April 21 once again marks the anniversary of the Easter attacks,” the President said.
He further noted that the CID is working diligently to expose a significant group responsible for the attacks before April 21.
