Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Sabaragamuwa, Central, and Uva Provinces after 2.00 p.m. today (03), the Department of Meteorology said.
Mainly fair weather will prevail in most other areas of the island.
Misty conditions can be expected at some locations in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva Provinces during midnight and early morning hours, the department added.
The public is advised to take necessary precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
