Data from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) shows that 70,023 tourists have arrived in the country so far in December.
Of these, 15,152 visitors were from India, accounting for 22% of arrivals. Other notable numbers include 8,033 from Russia, 5,753 from Germany, 5,216 from the United Kingdom, and 4,049 from France.
With the release of the latest November figures, total tourist arrivals in Sri Lanka for 2025 have reached 2,173,616. Among them, 489,948 are from India, 196,985 from the UK, 166,626 from Russia, 137,012 from Germany, and 125,720 from China, the SLTDA reported.
