The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the awarding of a long-term contract for the procurement of five shipments of Petrol 92 Octane Unleaded (92 UNL) to Epdesa Pte. Ltd., following a competitive bidding process.
The contract covers the period from 15 March to 14 September 2026 and involves the supply of five shipments totalling approximately 300,000 barrels (±5%) of petrol.
Bids were invited by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation from its registered suppliers, with six companies submitting proposals.
Based on recommendations made by the Higher-Level Standing Procurement Committee, Epdesa Pte. Ltd. was selected as the lowest substantially responsive bidder, according to the government.
Officials said the decision forms part of ongoing efforts to ensure a stable fuel supply through transparent and competitive procurement procedures.
